The very first signs of life in Dulcote is in evidence in its hill. Carved right into the west side of the hill are bone caves from pre-historic times. The caves are known as the bone caves because of a discovery of bones of mammoth, hyena, cave bear, bison and glutton dating as far back as the Pleistocene era.
