A building from the post-medieval period -- or at least the ruins of the mortared stone rubble wall of a small cottage about 5.5 metres square -- was excavated during the construction of the Wells Relief Road. Within the field boundary near the cottage, pottery remains were found which date to the fourteenth or fifteenth centuries.
